Ornate Antique Greek and Roman Medallion depiction of abacchanal
with “wine, women and song” as well as a
Dionysia
which was a large
festival
in
ancient
Athens in honor of the god Dionysus, the central events of which were the theatrical performances of a dramatic nature. Mounting bolts brazed on the back. The brass Bacchus phalera disk is 3 7/8” across and 3/16” thick.
